Layouts, The Count and The Wolfman (Or, How I Made Do On 3 Hours of Sleep)
A million apologies for not posting in, like three days, or something!
I was sooooooo busy preparing for and hosting a crop (for you non-scrapbookers that’s what we scrap-heads call it when we get together to make pretty things with paper) on Saturday. I was actually up until about 3:00 a.m. cutting paper for my Christmas Card workshop (they turned out great so it was worth it).
I sat in our entertainment room (yes, we have an entertainment room, lol) and put ROME, Season 1 in the DVD player while I cut, cut, cut away. I should have known how late it was getting, since I started around 11:00 p.m. and managed to watch about five episodes, but I guess I was so into the show (I adore, adore, adore ROME, and last night would be about the seventh time I’ve watched Season 1…I don’t tend to re-watch Season 2 as much because Caesar is already dead by then, and he’s my fave…) Anyway, I got so into the show I was shocked to look up and see that it was 2:45 when my hubby came in to say “I hope you’re not still awake…” Ooops. I finished up what I was doing, and came up to bed.
By then, he had the TV on in our room, and we watched an infomercial starring Peter Fonda for an 18CD set called Flower Power. I sang along to every. single. song. Scary, isn’t it? Sometime before 4:00 a.m. I finally fell asleep, only to be woken up by hubby saying, “you have got to see this…it’s worth waking up for…”
It was.

Do you remember it? The Hilarious House of Frightenstein, yes! Igor and the Count: my faves. And of course, any recollection of Frightenstein wouldn’t be complete without the Wolfman.

Yes, this is what Canadian children watched on Saturday mornings in the 70s. ‘Splains a lot, dontcha think? Actually, I think my dad must have been watching, too, because he dances exactly like the Wolfman. Exactly. Must have been where he learned how…
So that brings us to 4:30 a.m., when I finally fell asleep. Then I woke up and showered at 7:20, ate, packed up the van (nine trips it took me!), and was at the crop by 9:30 a.m. By midnight, I was ready to go home, having created these:

There’s a title or some journaling needed here and there, but all in all, I’m happy with them.
And as for sleep…well, I got to sleep in until 8:30 on Sunday morning!

I feel you are really working hard !
But you should post it rregularly else you will loose the habit of doing well
Wow…I was born in 1978 and I totally remember that show. I had no idea what it was called though.
Great layouts. In fact, extremely impressive considering the sleep deprivation!
Well done on the layouts! I had big plans to do scrapbooking after #1 was born. To this day, I have completed a total of 3 layouts. Total.
Hillarious House of Frankenstein – hee. I remember watching that with my brother on Saturday mornings. That and Land of the Lost.
holy crowly! 6 LOs!! i’m so slow i may get 2 single page LOs done in that time! and you can tell you are a mom cause you did all of this on only a teeny amount of sleep!! LOL
