I would likely have preferred to leave the trip for another year or 2 but the whole point of going to Estonia was to inter the ashes of my MIL's mom, who was also Estonian and wanted to be buried there. She wanted the trip to be a chance for all her offspring to discover their heritage, and I was just lucky to be able to tag along! But honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The kids have been truly amazing. And it's great to see things through their eyes, too. Jen, it was weirdly satisfying in a "can I pop your back zits" kinda way! Some of the photos on your travel blog look like postcards that you have pasted photos of the girls into. Can I tell you that I am desperately jealous with every fiber of my stone pitted heart? (I believe that is a mixed metaphor, but you get my point.) I am sure I should know, but how old are your kiddies? Because I am thinking that if you can take YOUR littles on a European vacation, then why can't I? You know. With my own kids. In like 7 years. Maybe? :) Oh, Kat.
