On Saturday afternoon, my husband and I took both our daughters and eight other children to see Where The Wild Things Are for Girl 1’s ninth birthday party.

Well, it was a full weekend in 3D at our house. Saturday evening was the Hannah Montana concert in 3D on YTV, and this morning the Hubster and I took the kiddos to see Journey to the Centre of the Earth in 3D.

I loved it!

Check your reality meter when you put on the specs, and just sit back and enjoy the ride. One of my favourite parts was Girl2 standing up and reaching out to grab at the little 3D birds. So cute!

Of course there are some gimmicky parts, where the filmmakers make full use of the 3D technology (I’m still rubbing the toothpaste spit and T-Rex slobber from my eyes) but besides those tricks, I just loved the extra dimension (yes! there is a THIRD dimension! I KNEW IT!) that 3D added to the movie.

So consider this my official request that all future movies be made in 3D.
